Ostenil Plus (1 x 2 ml)

Intensive hyaluron therapy helps with osteoarthritis or as a prevention of joint wear. Joint complaints and joint pain can be relieved and painlessness, but at least a significant pain relief can be achieved. Ostenil is a hyalurone-containing medicine device for the treatment of osteoarthritis in synovial joints (e.g. Knee, hip, shoulder and finger joints).

The joint capsule of a synovial joint is filled with a liquid. This synovial fluid is also often called “joint smear”, and its most important component is hyaluronic acid. It protects the cartilage surfaces of the joint against wear and supplies them with nutrients. In osteoarthritis, the balance of build-up and degradation of hyaluronic acid in the joint is disturbed. By injecting Ostenil, new hyaluronic acid is added to the joint and the normal balance between degradation and reformation of new ones is restored.

Ostenil Plus contains 40mg of active ingredient in 2 ml, i.e. 2% hyaluronic acid, as well as 10 mg mannitol. It is therefore highly concentrated than Ostenil and is suitable for treating large joints such as knee, hip or shoulder. According to the manufacturer, the joint with osteoarthritis complaints receives three to five Ostenil Plus injections at a weekly distance. Such treatment can improve osteoarthritis problems for 6-12 months.

ATTENTION – important note: The Ostenil Plus pre-filled syringes are intended for injection by a doctor. Since the injection technique is essential for the success of the treatment, it may only be used by doctors who can demonstrate special training.
