Recosyn® (1 x 2 ml)

Recosyn is an innovative, sterile, viscoelastic solution designed specifically to relieve pain and improve mobility in patients with symptomatic knee ostearthrosis. The main active ingredient, sodium hyaluronate, is a natural component of the joint fluid and plays a crucial role in the lubrication and shock shocking of the joints.

Features:

Drug concentration: Sodium hyaluronate: 10 mg/ml. This means that 10 milligrams of the active substance are included in each millilitre solution. Molecular weight: The molecular weight of the sodium hyalurone in Recosyn is between 1.6 and 2.1 million Dalton. A higher molecular weight contributes to the solution’s viscoelasticity and lubricity. Duration of action: The effects of recosyn, such as pain relief and improved joint mobility, can last up to 6 months after a complete treatment cycle. However, this depends on individual factors such as the severity of the patient’s osteoarthritis and physical activity. Course of treatment: A typical treatment cycle consists of 3 to 5 injections, each administered once a week. The exact number of injections is determined by the attending physician based on the specific needs of the patient. pH value: The solution has a pH value of 7.2 (with a tolerance range of 6.8 to 7.44). This pH value is physiological and contributes to the compatibility of the injection.ATTENTION – important note: The Recosyn pre-filled syringes are intended for injection by a doctor. Since the injection technique is essential for the success of the treatment, it may only be used by doctors who can demonstrate special training.
